Insuring Your Goods
northAmerican International takes all possible care to ensure that your possessions arrive in the same condition as they left. Sometimes, however, the unexpected can happen.
That is where our insurance program comes in. We offer comprehensive insurance coverage for all your valuable possessions. If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair, you'll receive reimbursement for the full replacement cost - without consideration of depreciation - up to the declared value you placed on the item.
Our Valued Inventory Form will help you determine the appropriate level of insurance coverage. It's important that you declare adequate coverage and that you insure all items … and all items should be valued at the replacement cost in your destination country. If you have any questions or require additional information regarding our insurance program, please ask your northAmerican International representative.
Your goods are also insured during storage. Your shipment is insured for the normal course of transit from the time it was packed until it reaches the destination. Included in this coverage is storage insurance as shown below:
